There is much in life that we don’t have answers for and yet we forge ahead hoping to find our way. We trust in a force, be it God or our higher self, and sometimes get to find the knowledge that will guide us. Now and then, without even realizing, our soul gives us what we need. Our friends, loved ones, family – whatever we hold dear to us, moves us to the point of hope. We can only move forward. Our past is behind us. Our future, without knowing its path, lies ahead. Some tread tenderly, others rough ride the road and hope it will in return bring them to their goal. Our purpose. Our focus. Whatever that is, we seem to hold it dear to our heart. Should we fail? Will we succeed? Do we know what lies at the end of the journey? Is it fear or hope that makes us who we are? If there is a God or universal force, does it care either way? Can we know that? The questions outweigh the answers. And should we actually find the answers, do we know for sure that they are correct for us? Life, is for living..... but do we know if we are living our life as it should be lived? There is no jury to decide. There is no paper, certificate at the end of the road saying we have passed with honours. Only our soul knows for sure. But will our memory, like footprints in the sand, be erased when we move on to the next life? Or will the imprint still be there deep within us.................. Ultimately, this is YOUR life and the way you lead it is up to YOU... no pressure. My hope is that whatever you do, you just DO IT and do it vibrationally! Vibrational Blessings, Debbie A. Anderson Here are some spiritual outlooks on life by twelve different people. I was sent this by a friend so sadly don’t know who the writer is, so sharing this with you without credit. As I remind everyone, life is about perspective, each of us with our own viewpoint our own definition. After reading this I hope you will consider things a little differently, with an open mind and heart. Vibrational Blessings Debbie A. Anderson 1. Today, I interviewed my grandmother for part of a research paper I'm working on for my Psychology class. When I asked her to define success in her own words, she said, "Success is when you look back at your life and the memories make you smile." 2. Today, I asked my mentor - a very successful business man in his 70' s - what his top 3 tips are for success. He smiled and said, "Read something no one else is reading, think something no one else is thinking, and do something no one else is doing." 3.Today, after my 72 hour shift at the fire station, a woman ran up to me at the grocery store and gave me a hug. When I tensed up, she realized I didn't recognize her. She let go with tears of joy in her eyes and the most sincere smile and said, "On 9-11-2001, you carried me out of the World Trade Center ." 4.Today, after I watched my dog get run over by a car, I sat on the side of the road holding him and crying. And just before he died, he licked the tears off my face. 5.Today at 7AM, I woke up feeling ill, but decided I needed the money, so I went into work. At 3PM I got laid off. On my drive home I got a flat tire. When I went into the trunk for the spare, it was flat too. A man in a BMW pulled over, gave me a ride, we chatted, and then he offered me a job. I start tomorrow. 6.Today, as my father, three brothers, and two sisters stood around my mother's hospital bed, my mother uttered her last coherent words before she died. She simply said, "I feel so loved right now. We should have gotten together like this more often." 7.Today, I kissed my dad on the forehead as he passed away in a small hospital bed. About 5 seconds after he passed, I realized it was the first time I had given him a kiss since I was a little boy. 8.Today, in the cutest voice, my 8-year-old daughter asked me to start recycling. I chuckled and asked, "Why?" She replied, "So you can help me save the planet." I chuckled again and asked, "And why do you want to save the planet?" Because that's where I keep all my stuff," she said. 9.Today, when I witnessed a 27-year-old breast cancer patient laughing hysterically at her 2-year-old daughter's antics, I suddenly realized that I need to stop complaining about my life and start celebrating it again. 10.Today, a boy in a wheelchair saw me desperately struggling on crutches with my broken leg and offered to carry my backpack and books for me. He helped me all the way across campus to my class and as he was leaving he said, "I hope you feel better soon." 11.Today, I was feeling down because the results of a biopsy came back malignant. When I got home, I opened an e-mail that said, "Thinking of you today. If you need me, I'm a phone call away." It was from a high school friend I hadn't seen in 10 years. 12.Today, I was traveling in Kenya and I met a refugee from Zimbabwe . He said he hadn't eaten anything in over 3 days and looked extremely skinny and unhealthy. Then my friend offered him the rest of the sandwich he was eating. The first thing the man said was, "We can share it." The best sermons are lived, not preached. This is a wonderful, so I want to share it... I apologize for not giving credit to the author, but thank them for being so wise...... enjoy..... Why do I have a variety of friends who are all so different in character? How is it possible that I can get along with them all? I think that each one helps to bring out a "different" part of me. With one of them I am polite. With another I joke, with another I can be a bit naughty... I can sit down and talk about serious matters with one. With another I laugh a lot. I listen to one friend's problems. Then I listen to another one's advice for me. My friends are like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. When completed, they form a treasure box. A treasure of friends! They are my friends who understand me better than I understand myself. They're friends who support me through good days and bad. Real Age doctors tell us that friends are good for our health. Dr. Oz calls them Vitamin F (for Friends) and counts the benefits of friends as essential to our well being. Research shows that people in strong social circles have less risk of depression and terminal strokes. If you enjoy Vitamin F constantly you can be up to 30 years younger than your real age. The warmth of friendship stops stress and even in your most intense moments, it decreases the chance of a cardiac arrest or stroke by 50%. I'm so happy that I have a stock of Vitamin F! In summary, we should value our friends and keep in touch with them. We should try to see the funny side of things and laugh together and pray for each other in the tough moments. SOME OF MY FRIENDS ARE FRIENDS ON LINE. I KNOW I AM PART OF THEIRS BECAUSE THEIR NAMES APPEAR ON MY COMPUTER SCREEN OFTEN AND I FEEL BLESSED THAT THEY CARE AS MUCH FOR ME AS I CARE FOR THEM. THANK YOU FOR BEING ONE OF MY VITAMINS! THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING ABOUT FRIENDSHIP IS THAT WE CAN GROW SEPARATELY WITHOUT GROWING APART. And by the way, this applies to family too...... so have a vibrational day enjoying your dose of Vitamin F!!! Vibrational Blessings, Debbie A. Anderson The following is the philosophy of Charles Schulz, the creator of the 'Peanuts' comic strip. You don't have to actually answer the questions. Just ponder on them. 1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world. 2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners. 3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America pageant. 4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize. 5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress. How did you do? The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. These are no second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But when the applause dies ........Awards tarnish ........ Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners. Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one: 1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school. 2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time. 3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile. 4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special. 5.Think of five people you enjoy spending time with. Easier? The lesson: The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money ... or the most awards. They simply are the ones who care the most.... so keep tha close to your heart. Sadly, even after internet research I have not been able to find the author of this amazing philosophy.... but whomever wrote it, I want to share it with you.... to ponder on.... to allow your heart to be open and accept that we don’t have to have a wall or shelf full of accolades and honors to prove what a successful and loved person we are....... just look to your friends for that.... Vibrational Blessings, Debbie A. Anderson This story was shared with me, so I am sharing it with you in vibrational love, Debbie A. Anderson A lovely little girl was holding two apples with both hands. Her mum came in and softly asked her little daughter with a smile; my sweetie, could you give your mum one of your two apples? The girl looked up at her mum for some seconds, then she suddenly took a quick bite on one apple, and then quickly on the other. The mum felt the smile on her face freeze. She tried hard not to reveal her disappointment. Then the little girl handed one of her bitten apples to her mum, and said: mummy, here you are. This is the sweeter one. No matter who you are, how experienced you are, and how knowledgeable you think you are, always delay judgement. Give others the privilege to explain themselves. What you see may not be the reality. Never conclude for others. Which is why we should never only focus on the surface and judge others without understanding them first. Those who like to pay the bill, do so not because they are loaded but because they value friendship above money. Those who take the initiative at work, do so not because they are stupid but because they understand the concept of responsibility. Those who apologize first after a fight, do so not because they are wrong but because they value the people around them. Those who are willing to help you, do so not because they owe you anything but because they see you as a true friend. Those who often text you, do so not because they have nothing better to do but because you are in their heart. Those who take out time to chat with you, does not mean they are jobless or less busy, but they know the importance of keeping in touch. One day, all of us will get separated from each other; we will miss our conversations of everything & nothing; the dreams that we had. It is on that day we bring forth the memory that in that particular moment we accepted and didn’t judge! Anon Tomorrow is 888. August (8th month), 8th day, and 2015 = 8. So a very powerful combination!! It’s all about manifesting abundance and inviting in that vibrational flow of infinite amazement. The “biggy” on our side of the fence, that is our humanness, needs to be kept in check. Basically don’t let yourself be pulled in the direction of negativity if things don’t work out right first time. This powerful number is the vibration of keeping things in a down to earth practicality. For instance, don’t dream of owning a large yacht if you haven’t got the knowledge of sailing or are not good at sea. Dream yourself a dream of what you can and will utilize for your personal self. Manifesting with 888 is about the vibration of realism and usefulness. If your car is dying, then it is evident that you need a car that is reliable, inexpensive to run, safe etc. You can see where I am going with this. Keep it real for you. Of course I add my note of caution to your wishing. With every dream comes responsibility and taking ownership for our actions. So, as it is said, be careful what you dream for… because you may get it! Dreaming or wishing is the combination of our thoughts and actions that create the balance in our physical soul being, and so it is thus in our spiritual world. The two are in tandem with each other. You only have to look at the figure 8 to realize there is no beginning and no end. It just keeps looping around and around, in infinity. The universal flow which is the synergy of harmony vibrating within our inner and outer world, like us they are connected. Like any time in our lives, we have the potential to draw upon our angels, guides and helpers. So if you are not truly positive about what you want, ask them for guidance. They seem to know, and they will let us know in no uncertain terms because they want us to live our life to its full potential. That is why they are there – for us! When we reach out to the Universe, we are vibrationally supported – so reach out and tap into your 888 abundance!! Vibrational Blessings Debbie A. Anderson While re-visiting some of my past writing, I came across a poem I had written in January 1989. Wow, that is 28 years ago! At the time I sensed the spiritual work I was doing was being judged as evil, so I wanted some guidance from the God within me. Acceptance of what I do was not as open and receptive as it is now, and being a sensitive I took on the hurt & ignorance that was being thrown at me. Although our world is more enlightened today, I do still encounter fear of my spiritual work, as I am sure many of you do too. Maybe my words resonate with you, or you have your own. Either way, never fear what is within you spiritually, because eventually we all find our own way. It's all about your intention! I came across this quote from the Bible, which I feel says it all. “For God gave us a spirit not of fear, but of power and love and self control.” (Timothy 1:7) Vibrational Sharing, Debbie A. Anderson Sometimes the path I tread is hard & makes me want to cry, Feeling like a door slamming shut, and I wonder why No one said life was easy, and I don’t want it that way. But now I wonder what I did wrong, as I sit and pray. If you can hear me dear God above My heart is filled with your sweet love. I try to do your work so well But teach me right so I can excel. I need to learn, but please show me how Because the world needs LOVE, yours right now! The silence around me seemed far too great I wondered how long I should sit and wait. But no host of angels or music sweet Just a tingling through my body down to my feet. A voice deep from within me, a sense I cried Foolish girl, not only for you that he died. God’s busy now, so he’s sent me through To help YOU see what YOU need to do. I’m just a helper, a guide you might say To help you question and to find your way. How do you learn, so you can teach? Just sit here and listen, I will not preach. Sometimes when you feel you’ve lost your way Accept the life’s lessons you learn each day. Experience comes as you change & grow Always keeping you in the Universal flow. Recently I spent an evening enjoying the company of Craig Ferguson, on his “Hot & Grumpy Tour – Walking The Earth”. For anyone who hasn’t explored the humor of this once stand-up comedian and now late night TV host, then do so with caution, IF you are offended by the “F” word, which I wasn’t. One phrase he used was “I’m not being judgmental… I am just telling the truth” when sharing his very funny antidotes of his own life’s journey in the world of humor. One example was he mentioned that Vancouver, British Columbia had a lot of Asians living there, he was in no way being prejudice or racist, because it is a fact. Vancouver is made up from a lot of ethnic groups, Asians possibly being the largest group. After a while as he used this phrase over and over again when sharing his humor, and the phrase sort of grew on me. Like an epiphany I realized that none of us are actually being judgmental when we share something with another human being. Our truth comes from many aspects of what we have either been taught by our parents, peers and so on, or what we have experienced ourselves up to that point in our ever evolving lives. Therefore if we “own” that truth, it is ours. So principally we are not evaluating it from any other essence than the core of knowledge we have already learned. For some the awareness and experience may be very limited, so in my defense I will state “I’m not being judgmental…..” Being judgmental is defined in the dictionary as “having or displaying an excessively critical point of view”. But can we accept that on its own, or is there a more expansive way to accept others truths? When we share something that we know as our “own” truth with another, we are not necessarily being negative or disapproving. In some cases we are actually communicating something that has either excited us or given us the opportunity to change our viewpoint. I am not saying it is okay to impose upon another our own truths, but maybe if we all used the phrase “I am not being judgmental, I am just telling the truth”, others wouldn’t get so offended. I know for sure that there have been many occasions in my life when I have shared something with someone who has got upset with me, indicating I was being judgmental, which I wasn’t. So I am positive I am not alone in this experience. Curious to know what you feel about this concept? Written by Debbie A. Anderson To everyone, My Vibrational prayer for you all is …. have no regrets, take chances, live a life that's full, you love, laugh & cry, once in a while bite off more than you can chew, and finally....much more than this....is I hope in life you do it your way!! Vibrational Blessings, Debbie A. Anderson My Way…. And now, the end is near; And so I face the final curtain. My friend, I'll say it clear, I'll state my case, of which I'm certain. I've lived a life that's full. I've traveled each and ev'ry highway; And more, much more than this, I did it my way. Regrets, I've had a few; But then again, too few to mention. I did what I had to do And saw it through without exemption. I planned each charted course; Each careful step along the byway, And more, much more than this, I did it my way. Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew When I bit off more than I could chew. But through it all, when there was doubt, I ate it up and spit it out. I faced it all and I stood tall; And did it my way. I've loved, I've laughed and cried. I've had my fill; my share of losing. And now, as tears subside, I find it all so amusing. To think I did all that; And may I say - not in a shy way, "Oh no, oh no not me, I did it my way". For what is a man, what has he got? If not himself, then he has naught. To say the things he truly feels; And not the words of one who kneels. The record shows I took the blows - And did it my way! Yes, it was my way!!! Tribute to Frank Sinantra by Andre Rieu (Holland) & his orchestra choir with My Way on his (Stradivarius) violin. Radio City Music Hall New York July 29, 2006. "The Paradoxical Commandments" People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered. Love them anyway. If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives. Do good anyway. If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies. Succeed anyway. The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway. Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable. Be honest and frank anyway. The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds. Think big anyway. People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs. Fight for a few underdogs anyway. What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight. Build anyway. People really need help but may attack you if you do help them. Help people anyway. Give the world the best you have and you'll get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway. "The Paradoxical Commandments" were written by Kent M. Keith when he was 19 and a sophomore at Harvard College. He wrote them as part of a book for student leaders entitled The Silent Revolution: Dynamic Leadership in the Student Council, published by Harvard Student Agencies in 1968. Kent’s “Commandments” subsequently spread around the world and have been used by millions of people. The discovery that changed his life was that Mother Teresa had put the Paradoxical Commandments on the wall of her children’s home in Calcutta. Never under estimate the power of your words and what they may mean to others. Vibrational Blessings, Debbie A. Anderson |
