![]() The Muslim proverb, “To understand a man, you've got to walk a mile in his shoes, whether they fit or not” seems very apt to me at this moment in time. For me, I cannot always walk that road squeezed into anothers shoes, but instead I write. We all know that when someone we love and honour suffers, we want to do anything in our power to alleviate their pain, to heal them and set them free. But sometimes spirit sends us other challenges to learn from in ways that would have never been possible if certain things didn’t happen. Sometimes we don’t want our life to be impacted, especially when it is out of our hands. Yesterday, a very dear family member told me she had breast cancer and was going in for surgery to have her breast removed today, Thursday. She explained that she didn’t want anyone to worry, so had said nothing, keeping this a “secret” to herself. This burden she carried along with the cancer because she didn’t want us to worry seems harsh but understandable, because none of us can know unless we have experienced this ourselves. As a woman I cannot even comprehend what she is going through at this time, and I had no words to offer other than “you are a tough lady, you will beat this..” My life is not her life, and but as family, out of love we band together to show how much we care and praying always seems a good option in moments like these. For me this is the second woman in my family to get breast cancer and I know that when the breast is removed she will heal and live a long and wondrous life. Although 1 in 8 women will get breast cancer this year, because of amazing research to find a cure there are 2.9 million breast cancer survivors in North America alone! Take this shattered soul Cradle it gently in your hands Hold its fragile spirit and tend its wounds with love. In vibrational healing and harmony Take the scars and replenish them with beauty Soothing the pains of the inner soul Releasing the woman within and setting her free To be the amazing essence she has always been and will continue to be forever. Find out ways how you can get involved in the US or Canada because it’s never too late! Vibrational Blessings Debbie A. Anderson
