Christmas or whatever celebration you chose to experience at this time of year can lose its appeal to some folk. I suppose the fact is that we are so conditioned to knowing this festival is coming because when the last of the Halloween decorations & costumes get removed from the shelves they are replaced with glittering baubles and jolly Santas. It is wonderfully vibrational to celebrate and remember what this time of year means to us all. I for one can openly admit, that in the years gone by, I used to get so caught up in the gift buying side of things, I almost forgot what the vibration of this season was truly about. So for us, we started a new tradition, which I have to say was very humbling and put a whole lot of things in our lives into perspective. Whatever your circumstances are this year, stop a moment and rewind back to your own childhood. The memories of my family at Christmas was that we received one gift, and always awoke to a stocking on the bottom of our bed, which contained a mandarin orange, a piece of chocolate and a book. I didn’t know until much later in life we were classed as being poor. But in my memories, Christmas was always very special. Over the years I have sat and watched my young grandchildren rip open package after package on Christmas day, many times not even taking a moment to look at the gift before moving onto the next present. Maybe it is too much for them? I know after the hours of unwrapping is over, they usually go back to playing with whatever they already had. I know in years gone by, I have enjoyed receiving many gifts from friends and family, but always love to receive those that I know have been made by the giver. It is meaningful to me that someone loved me enough to spend precious hours creating something especially for me. It affects me in a way that touches my soul the most. As the years have gone by, many of my friends just get together to spend time together enjoying each other’s company because we all openly admit, we already have just about everything we need, want or desire. Whatever you do this season, just take a moment and ask yourself, “What does xxx really need?” Maybe it is you spending time with them, a phone call or a letter? If you are alone this Christmas then reach out to see if you can help at a local homeless centre or hospital. Drop off something at your local food bank. Maybe check out to see if there is someone in your neighbourhood that is also alone and would love a visit from someone just like you. Get creative and vibrationally craft a new tradition, because I am telling you… it is NOT all about the STUFF!!! Just take a moment to remember back to that very first baby, because this is what it is all about. He had nothing but a manger and some vibrationally amazing folks around him.
